香港醫學會發表
醫生收費調查報告

香港醫學會最近完成了一項私人執業醫生收費的調查，蒐集有關的市場資料。調查的結果已刊印於附頁。

收費調查於今年六月中旬展開，醫學會發出問卷予二千二百七十位私人執業的會員醫生，其後共收回七百六十一份問卷，回覆率達三十三點五。交回問卷的七百六十一位醫生中，有三百九十五位是全科醫生，三百八十一位是專科醫生。

是次調查，將醫生收費分為全科及專科兩類，每類再細分項目如下：

(1)   私家醫院收費

(2)  私家診所收費
　

I. Doctors Fees -- General Practice

(Total number of respondents for this section: 395)

Tables 1.1-1.4 show the charges for medical services and procedures performed. The median fee for a regular consultation was $170 (Table 5.2), which represented a nominal increase of 13% from that in 1996. The median fee for an extended consultation ($200) had maintained at the same level as that in 1996.

II. Doctors Fees – Specialist Practice

(Total number of respondents for this section: 381)

The following table shows the charges of doctors in specialist practice for procedures and services given in hospitals and in clinics. The median fees for a regular consultation and an extended consultation were $350 and $500 respectively, both were comparable to those of the 1996 survey. Parallel to the economic downturn in the territory, medical fees had declined over the past 12 months immediately before the survey was conducted. 18% of respondents indicated a downward adjustment in their overall charges while a mere 4% reported an increase. The majority, or 78%, of the respondents had not adjusted their fees during this period.
